OMAUR BLISS
"I started practicing Ashtanga and Bikram yoga for the benefit of being able to get out of bed without physical pain. Fifteen years later yoga has taken me to places unimaginable.
I was certified by Core Power yoga in Vinyasa and Hot yoga in 2006. Immediately after graduation, I was hired by Corepower Yoga to teach hot yoga, power yoga, and yoga sculpt.
It wasn’t enough to satisfy my appetite for sweating and endorphins. I became a certified Real Ryder instructor in 2009. In 2010, I moved to New York City to expand my horizons and to really
understand the meaning of “starving artist”. There I studied with the Barre Method Soho,Dharma Mittra yoga and was introduced to Kettlebells, from there a whole new world emerged.
Upon my return to Minneapolis, I became certified to teach Barre and spin.
I believe that life is a journey through your own personal evolution. My journey is to understand
functional movement along with strength and conditioning adaptations, and in 2012, I became a NASM certified personal trainer specializing in functional movement & strength and
conditioning.
As a group fitness expert and trainer, it is my goal to create fun, challenging workouts while educating. I have taught at many fine studios across the country including:
Corepower Yoga studios (California,Texas)
New York Yoga (New York, NY)
Joshi Studios (New York, NY).
I have contributed fitness programming to some of the Twin Cities best fitness brands:
Lifetime Fitness, Corepower Yoga Minnesota, Six Degrees, 501 Fit, The Firm, Sparrow Studios
and Alchemy.
One of my biggest loves besides helping others become more healthy is music. You can find me
DJing and MCing events, producing music, running really fast, jumping really high, and dancing
as hard and frequently as possible."
